Secure site

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

One of my customers gets this error message logging in to a site they need to get into (frm 92050 failed to connect to the server), called tech support for the site they said it could be a firewall issue or spyware program from letting them in. I know this is not the problem hooked up a lapton to the router and had no problem getting in, I am using IE6 SP1 and Windows ME on the computer I am trying to use. Any suggestion about IE settings to check? This site runs a oracle database

Thank You for any help

First off, the database would have no control over this issue, so this doesn't matter. (You could be running PostgreSQL, MSSQL, or even MySQL and be getting this problem)

The problem could very well be caused by one of these. If you have a virus scanner or firewall that is denying the server from sending certain things to the client such as cookies, it might not allow you to enter the website. It could also be Internet Explorer configured to deny these things sent by the server unless it knows to trust the source. The best thing to do is add your website to Internet Explorer's Trusted Site section. (Under 'Internet Options', Security tab)

Aside from things like cookies, it could be Internet Explorer denying a SSL connection to the site. This can also be fixed by adding it to the Trusted Sites in the Internet Options.
