how to connect other server ??

Hi,

I installed sql 2005 in my server.

I want to connect the sql 2000 server (.i.e. I want to register ) with this.

how can i do ?

I have idea only with sql 2000.


Help pls.

I don't know a lot about SQL, but the means of registering the databases should be almost identical.. are you getting some sort of specific error messages?

You just register it under the group in the enterprise manager. Make sure that if you are coming from a different computer and they are not on the same domain to enable sql authentication on sql box and give it an SA password so that you can log in with that.

There is a button about Registering the other Servers..i think you must have DNS and The other Servers must be your DNS member.
