Now I know what the integer value in mysql.max_links represents.

ex. mysql.max_links = 1000

Means 1000 links can be made. But if it is set to -1 does this mean no links can be made?

If it is how can it be set to UnLimited.

I see some servers comeback with unlimited under mysql.max_links when running php_info() but I don't see how you can put unlimited if it is a string not an integer.

Any help would be much appreciated Smile

-1 is unlimited and 0 for none.
