Respected Sir,
A lot of our servers are 3+ years old and planning for an upgrade. We can take this chance to do some sort of mid or long term planning about company wide IT infrastructure. If needed we are willing to redesign the whole infrastructure.
Following are some considerations
-----------------------------------------
Network Segmentation, Backup Domain Controllers, Private IP Address Management,Outbound Traffic Restriction, WAN Optimization, Storage Area Network (SAN), Proxy Server for Web, Apply multiple layers of defense through out the IT system.File Sharing , Application Access
We have all Dell Poweredge servers loaded with windows 2003 R2 standard edition except for one with windows 2008 Standard Edition. We have two important backups stored on these two servers which are mapped as Network Drives on all the client PCs. We currently have an UTM box taking care of anti virus, anti spam, IDP, IPS , Load balancing , Failover. We have two internet carriers terminated to this UTM box.
Based on the existing current infrastructure, how can we revamp the IT infrastruture keeping in ming mid and long term.
