Hi,
I am trying to install Apache 2.2.3 on my solaris 8 (sparc) box. When I do the configure --enable-ssl, I get an error: "
no SSL-C headers found
configure: error: ...No recognized SSL/TLS toolkit detected

How can I resolve my problem? I have searched google and I found a work around for Linux and it says to include libssl-dev for linux. How about for Solaris? TIA.

You probably just need to install openssl ...

a solaris pkg

http://sunfreeware.com/indexsparc8.html

or the sources

http://www.openssl.org/

Have downgraded my Apache version to 2.0.59 and everthing went fine. Maybe there is a special configuration in order for Apache 2.2.3 to work.

Good chance you just have to give it the path to ssl binarys, i cant remember of the top of my head what the configure option is but im sure its probably just something that simple ...
