Author: Leathal, Posted: Thu Jan 13, 2011 6:00 pm Post subject: Restoring IFS backup - Exchange 2003 ---- A client of mine had a huge meltdown. Their old Compaq Proliant SBS 2003 server died before we had a chance to get the new replacement server.
We have a full system backup as well as a IFS backup. The problem is we want to restore just the IFS so we can use a tool to recover the mailboxes from the EDB database however we can't get the backup to restore at all.
We have tried to restore the system image on a new system and that failed as we can't bring up the old server; no parts exist.
