Mac OS X Bug in Apple File Protocol (AFP) Over SSH May Fail to Encrypt Some Connectoins

Description: A vulnerability was reported in the Apple File Protocol (AFP) implementation on Mac OS X. When running AFP connections over SSH, some connections may not be encrypted.

It is reported that in some cases, AFP sessions will be established in the clear even though both the client and server have secure connections enabled.

Impact: A remote user monitoring the connection between the client and the server can view unencrypted connections.

Solution: According to a report by Chris Adams (improbable.org), version 10.3.2 is not affected.
