windows server 2003 proxy?

how do i know if i have a windows proxy service running and how can i disable it?

This are following way ti disable window proxy server.
1. Go to Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections tab
2. Select the appropriate Internet Service as follows:
1. If using a Dial-up Internet service, click Settings button;
2. If using a broadband Internet service , click LAN Settings button
3. Un-check all boxes under Automatic Configuration
4. Un-check the box under Proxy Server
5. Click OK.
