Just as an update the work around is not effective, and the problem is far more prevalent than first thought. It involves Mail as well as Finder. The SANS article has a very good description of the issue with several updates referring to the new updates.

Yeah I use both Mac and PC. Obviously have more problems with the PC, spyware malware-wise, but it makes me more careful than most Mac users I think. I use some open-source antivirus app, Clam, to keep my Mac clean.
