hi all , this is first time i'm tring to format the MAC and reinstall it , i have Mac G4 OS 9.0 , i can reinstall it but i need to install fresh version thanks

There is a disk utility on the CD that you use to do any formatting work. This link explains the methodology and when to do a low or high level format.
