Hi.
I am in a little confusion. Can anyone help me sort this out.
The issue what I am facing is that my company wants to take ISDN connection for backup. If we have a CISCO router with BRI port for ISDN, will it automaticall dial as soon as there the leased line is down???

Last month the ISP send us a mail as they were bringing the connection down for some reasons... They said that..

NOTE : We will be providing a backup ISDN in case you have ISDN facility
(BRI Line+ ISDN Router) .

What does we will be providing backup ISDN, when we have taken ISDN connection plus the Router. Does this mean that they will pay for the bandwidth useage during the downtime???

it will automatically dial very soon after it loses the other connection iff the router is configured to do so.

as to who pays for this in the event of planned downtime, that's for you to ask your ISP.
