anyone have any idea about this error


Server Error in '/intranet' Application.

An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified)
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

The first part of the error code sort of sums it up.

Have you configured your server to allow remote connections? SQL does not allow remote connections by default, if I recall correctly.

OR:

Error Locating Server/Instance Specified


The database or server doesn't exist, or you have a typo in your code where specifiying the database to connect to.
