Hi,
We are testing the Cisco IP communicator, we encountered problems when trying to connect to another network.
When we try to connect within our network there is no problem.
When we try to connect to a different network through our VPN the soft-phone could not even work.
We tried even to contact one of our branches in another country(Japan) and asked them to install the Communicator in one of the PC, it worked fine within the company network.
But for some reason when one of the users goes on a business trip, using their notebook, they are having a hard time running the communicator.
We checked the settings and the TFTP servers are correct MAC is registered, but when they try to connect to our Japan network, the Communicator does not work.

Hi.
One test that you can do is to try to log on the ccm via a browser when you are connected to your network via VPN.
If that works, you sould be able to use your soft phone.
If not, check if you have the right routes to your ccm and ipcc.
Best Regards,
Erik
