Hi
i am currently trying to access a shared drive on my networks server through the internet but having trouble, the server uses win server 2003.
i have tryed a few ways by using the run and \\servername\drive which states it is not accessable, if i try to access it through remote desktop it brings up user name and pass, but i haven't set one up yet, getting very lost. the only option i can think is that the win server has a setting of which i don't know about and preventing me to allow computers to connect to this shared drive.
hi
thanks for a reply, i have tryed to vpn from my home but still getting a user and pass, i haven't set any user and pass up yet on the server, so could it be the firewall is affecting it or the sercurity level of win server 2003 be upsetting the connection?
