I'm looking for a FREE way to audit and log all print jobs, i know windows will allow me to audit printing but it's now very user frendly, anyone know of a way/program to do this?

please don't post links to free 30 day trial software, i'm not looking to spend anything if at all possible...

thanks...

It's actually not that hard. You turn on auditing, select the users/groups and tasks you want to audit. Sit back and enjoy reading your audit logs.

What part of that are you having trouble with?

the part i'm having trouble with is having to hunt though the event logs to see how many pages a person has printed, bearing in mind we have almost 50 printers and over 1200 users....

the event log is just to hard to search through...
