Hello everyone,
I'm new to this forum, but would appreciate any advice on my problem, as below.

I have a laptop which has somehow got into a loop with a firm? called Security Tool that keeps telling me there is malware that is infecting the machine but they can sell me a clean up for $79.95. Obviously this is a scam but I cannot rid the machine of it. I tried to reset the sytem but as soon as I hit System Reset up pops the Security Tool scan and blocks the System Reset from opening.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello suttonbri,

I will be glad to help you. Smile

Please download and install the new version of Hijackthis
Make sure you downloaded the EXECUTIBLE version rather then the INSTALLER version.

Submit a fresh Hijackthis log to Hijackthis log / Malware Removal forum.
